Mercado industrial do Rio de Janeiro registra absorção líquida de 125 mil m²The Rio de Janeiro industrial market ended 2015 with a net absorption of 125,000 square meters, a number almost three times higher than what was recorded in 2014, in spite of economic turmoil in the region resulting from the oil and gas crisis. The regions responsible for this higher absorption were Washington Luiz (39,000 m²) and Seropédica/Queimados (69,000 m²). These numbers were published in the latest Industrial MarketBeat from Q4.

The vacancy rate grew to 18.4% during the same period, which is 1.5 percentage points higher than the previous quarter. “This movement occurred because of the new stock delivered during this period,” states Mario Sérgio Gurgueira, director of Owner Representation. Average asking prices in the RJ capital remained stable at R$ 22.40.
