Cushman & Wakefield is providing consulting for Core & Shell LEED Certification for Warehouses A and B at the Golgi Mauá Logistics Complex, in Greater São Paulo. The total built area is 39,000 squa20162601_Galpoes_500x316re meters. The venture belongs to Fundo Autonomy Investimentos, Brazil’s leading real estate investment company, with a portfolio that covers more than 400,000 m².

“We are working to achieve certifications starting from the project design phase and one result we have already seen is the pre-certification for the warehouses, which is an important tool to help market the spaces. Before construction even finishes, lessees already have access to forecasts for each location’s water and energy consumption,” states Marília Leite, Sustainability Analyst. The systems the will be deployed include, notably, a recycling program, reservoirs, sewage treatment station, water and power efficiency, among others. “By our forecasts, we will reduce drinking water consumption by more than 40% in metal and ceramic bathroom fixtures and reduce our electrical bill by roughly 25%,” explains Marília.
